Ruby Blossoms is an abstract work that incorporates collage and mixed media to focus on a celebration of colour, in particular, red. As the title infers, the composition depicts an idea of blossoming and flourishing in which the direction of the seemingly spontaneous paint splashes are intentionally extending outward from the central position of the work. Similar to ideas explored throughout the abstract collection, elements of hope and positive outcomes can be observed through the composition as well as the diverse potential of approaches that can emerge from what was supposedly a single colour. The additional layering of collage and monoprinting that underlie the abstract works further engage with complexities that can only be noticed when viewed carefully and closely.

Size and framing
The size mentioned is dimensions of the artwork. If the artwork is framed, please add roughly 3-4 cm for floating external frames for artworks on canvas.
The frame is approximately 1cm and there is an approximate 0.5cm gap between the frame and the canvas to give the shadow line effect.
