A Memorable Evening with the Italian Consul General

I was honoured to be invited by the Italian Consul General, Mr. Gianluca Rubagotti, to share my artistic journey and the profound influence Italian art and culture have had on my work.

During the evening, I reflected on my education at the National College of Arts (NCA) in Pakistan, and how my artistic path was enriched and completed through my engagement with Italian art — from classical traditions to contemporary exploration.

We discussed key milestones in my career, including receiving the Lorenzo il Magnifico Award at the Florence Biennale in 2015, and the First Prize at the Chianciano Biennale, both of which helped shape my identity as an international artist.

A heartfelt thank you also to the Pakistani Consul General and Minister (Trade & Investment), Mr. Qamar Zaman, for joining us and supporting this celebration of cultural exchange and creative dialogue.
